Mustard Pickles (Cucumber Brine)

I can say this is one of my summer favorites!
I never liked weeding the garden as a child, however I loved partaking in the produce!
Below is a recipe of the brine used to create mustard pickles.
Mustard Pickles
1/3 cup Salt (1dram saccrin = 20 1/2 grams)
1 cup dry mustard
1 T. soda
1 T. salicylic acid
1 gal vinegar

Cauliflower Broccoli Salad

1 head cauliflower
1 head broccoli
1 1/2 cup uncooked peas
1/2 redonion
1/4 lb Bacon
Raisins/Cranberries (your choice)
Dressing:
1/4 c. milk
2 c. mayonnaise
1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. parmesan cheese
Dice or Shred the broccoli and cauliflower to desired size.
Add peas, onions and fried, crumbled bacon and raisins/cranberries.
Mix dressing, add to vegetables and mix thoroughly.
